All programs are hosted on Zoom!

Classes are run by the industry's top creatives, so all students have the chance to be fully prepared to work at their dream advertising agency.

Both copywriting and art direction students graduate with a full portfolio and a book180 certificate.

Just like in an advertising agency, book180 partners copywriters and art directors together to develop campaigns. Both you and your partner will concept big ideas for brands together, and once you land on an idea you both love, you’ll venture down parallel paths to bring the idea to life.

Webinars and Workshops

book180 offers a variety of online, a-la-carte classes for folks who are looking to skill-up but don’t want to commit to a full semester.

These classes are also a great way to get a taste of book180 life before you apply!

Pop Culture Engineering

Juan Guzman, ECD/Founder humans2humans, Miami

Meets Thursdays for 5 Weeks from 6:30pm-8:30pm ET. Class Dates: July 16th - August 13th

Popular Culture Engineering explores how pop culture—past and present—can become powerful creative fuel for cracking any brief. Students will learn to use seven core pillars of pop culture as a compass for insight, emotional connection, and fresh idea generation. Rather than treating culture like a trend report, this class views it as emotional infrastructure: nostalgia, identity, desire, shared experiences, and the core memories that shape what people care about. Through a creative study of what we love now, what we loved then, and what we might love next, students will learn how to reimagine cultural references in ways that feel fresh, relevant, and campaignable. By the end of the 5-week class, students will leave with a campaign rooted in pop culture.

Packaging Design

Gina McKinna, Freelance Graphic Designer & Brand Consultant, Carslbad

Meets Thursdays for 5 Weeks from 7:30pm-9:30pm MST Class Dates: July 16th - August 13th

Packaging Design explores how brands come to life in the real world—on shelves, in hands, and in the moments that matter most at purchase. This elective focuses on packaging as both a branding tool and a storytelling surface. Students will learn how to translate strategy into structure, using design, materials, typography, and form to create packaging that stands out and communicates instantly. You’ll study what makes packaging iconic, functional, and shareable—and how small details can make a product feel premium, purposeful, or disruptive. By the end of the 5-week course, students will develop a fully realized packaging concept, from visual identity to form factor, built to live in the real world and compete on shelf.

Website Development

Heather Schwartz, VP/CD Health&Wellness Partners, NYC

Meets Fridays for 5 Weeks from 6:30pm-8:30pm ET. Class Dates: July 17th - August 14th

Website Development focuses on building a personal site that actually feels like you—and works like it should. This elective teaches students how to design and launch a clean, strategic portfolio using platforms like Squarespace. You’ll learn to structure your site for clarity and impact, covering homepage hierarchy, project pages, navigation, and mobile optimization. Beyond templates, the class dives into the details that elevate a site: typography, pacing, and subtle interactions that keep people engaged. You’ll also engage in light, practical coding that give your site a more polished, custom feel without overcomplicating the build. Most importantly, this class pushes you to infuse your personality into the work. Not just what you show, but how you show it—your voice, your point of view, your taste. By the end of the 5 weeks you’ll have a clear direction for your site, and the ability to implement it!

Student Life

Just because we’re online, doesn’t mean we don’t have a strong culture of inclusion and support.

Classes meet live over Zoom almost every night, and you regularly meet with your classmates on Zoom to concept. So you quickly become friends with the other creatives in your semester. We also host live guest speakers, online movie screenings, online costume nights, Quiplash game nights, and raffle nights with some pretty sweet prizes. Students build strong friendships, help make each other’s books better, and even apply for jobs together.

Where Our Students Work

You’re each other’s future coworkers, and those relationships start on day 1 of 180.

Testimonials

"Not just 'another program' the book180 grads are 100% prepared for the agency world. I wish we had the budget to hire more as our new AD hire, Lou, is crushing it!"

Steve Rodriguez, Head of Talent at EP+Co

Testimonials

"I'm so proud of book180 grads. You can see that so much great thinking has gone into each and every book. From headlines, to social good ideas, to stunts—it's the kind of thinking you can only come up when the client doesn't exist."

Amanda Burger, Creative Lead at Snapchat

Testimonials

"I'm so honored to have been a part of the first book180 class ever. Being the only one from a non-metro area, someone with a non-advertising background, and someone who was coming in with no industry contacts/knowledge, I can't tell you how big of an impact this program has had on me and my future career."

Luc Almeda, Junior Copywriter at FCB

Testimonials

"I wish book180 had been around when I was a junior. Portfolio schools are often necessary to get a job, but a shorter option like this is absolutely going to change lives."

Lindsay Lenard, Founder/Designer at Agency Radiate

Testimonials

"Sarah and Francesca are two of the hardest working, most intentional women I know. I saw first hand how much they genuinely care about students."

Taylor Smith, Senior Copywriter at Cutwater

Testimonials

"I am thankful for Sarah and Francesca for building the first-of-its-kind 6 month advertising program that is book180 and allowing me the opportunity to be a part of it’s inaugural class. These are truly two of the most brilliant, caring, and hard working women I’ve ever met in my whole life. Such an inspiration!"

Eric Thompson, Junior AD at Molson Coors

Testimonials

"When I graduated from University of Illinois, I applied to 320 jobs, and I heard back from 4 of them—people I knew! I needed to set myself apart from the rest. So I reached out to Francesca and I was so appreciative for accepting me. I loved it, was so proud of myself for working part time while going back to school."

Amanda Sideris, Junior Art Director at Golin
